Public sector electrical contractors — audit-ready from day one..

As public sector electrical contractors, we work across local authorities, blue-light estates, social housing and public buildings. We deliver compliant works under framework and tendered arrangements, with audit and finance documentation issued as standard.

The work is judged twice — on site, then on paper

Public spend is scrutinised. A compliant installation with incomplete records is still a finding at audit. We treat documentation as a deliverable in its own right, not an afterthought at handover.

Emergency response for public buildings

Ageing estates, prioritised spend

Most authority portfolios carry decades of deferred electrical work across dozens of buildings. Condition surveys with a risk-ranked remedial schedule let you defend where the money went — spending on the highest risk rather than the loudest complaint, and evidencing that decision at committee.

Social value is part of the score, and part of the job

We commit to local labour, apprenticeships and local supply chain on public contracts, and we report against those commitments rather than stating them at tender and going quiet. If a target is at risk, you hear it from us before the review meeting.

Compliance, remedials and capital works

From a single library rewire to a portfolio-wide programme, our public sector electrical contractors provide consistent specification, documentation and accountability.

Rewires and distribution upgrades

Full and partial rewires, board replacement and sub-main renewal in occupied public buildings, phased around opening hours.

LED lighting and controls

Offices, depots, leisure centres, libraries and street-facing buildings. Energy reduction evidenced for carbon reporting and funding claims.

Fire alarm and emergency lighting

BS 5839 and BS 5266 design, installation and scheduled testing, with certification held per building across the portfolio.

Condition surveys and EICR

A public sector EICR programme across the portfolio, with risk-ranked remedials priced and ready for a capital bid or committee paper.

Social housing electrical works

Void and occupied property testing, remedials and rewires, with resident liaison and appointment discipline built into the programme.

Planned and reactive maintenance

Scheduled inspection regimes with 24/7 reactive cover and SLA reporting your contract manager can put straight into a performance review.

How a public sector contract runs with us

Framework or tendered, the pattern is the same: transparent pricing, disciplined documentation and works planned around public access.

01

Priced against the schedule, with the assumptions shown

Every submission states what is included, what is excluded and what we have assumed. Provisional sums are identified rather than buried, so there are no adversarial variations later in the job.

02

Surveyed and risk-ranked before anything is committed

Condition surveys produce a prioritised schedule with photographic evidence — which lets you spend the available budget on the highest risk and evidence that decision at audit.

03

Delivered around public access and safeguarding

Works phased around opening hours, with DBS-cleared operatives where the building serves children or vulnerable adults, and segregation from the public agreed before mobilisation.

04

Reported monthly, in your format

Spend against budget, progress against programme, SLA performance and social value commitments, reported in the format your contract requires rather than ours.

05

Handed over audit-ready

Test certificates, as-built drawings, emergency lighting layouts, asset registers and O&M manuals issued per building at completion — complete, indexed and ready for inspection.

06

Maintained on a tracked cycle

Annual and periodic testing scheduled per building with certification stored centrally, so nothing lapses between inspections and nothing is missing when someone asks.

Across the whole public estate

Each building type carries a different obligation — safeguarding, resilience, public access or resident liaison. We scope for the obligation, not for a generic property.

What contract and estates managers ask us

Yes. We hold a complete PQQ pack — accreditations, insurance certificates, financial information, health and safety policy, environmental and quality management, equality and modern slavery statements — ready to issue on request. Our procurement hub carries the current versions so your team is never working from an out-of-date document.
Regularly, and we are comfortable with the reporting discipline that comes with them: call-off pricing against a schedule of rates, monthly performance reporting, KPI measurement and social value tracking. We are equally happy tendering individual capital projects where a framework does not cover the scope.
We commit to local labour, apprenticeship placements and local supply chain spend, then report against those commitments through the contract rather than stating them once at tender. If a target is at risk we raise it early — an authority can defend a commitment that was managed, not one that quietly lapsed.
Almost all of our public sector work is in occupied buildings. Works are phased around opening hours, with temporary supplies, segregation from the public and daily reinstatement. Where a building serves children or vulnerable adults, operatives hold enhanced DBS clearance and a safeguarding plan is agreed before mobilisation.
Test and inspection certificates, as-built drawings, emergency lighting layouts, asset registers, O&M manuals and photographic records — issued per building at completion, indexed and audit-ready. This is a contract deliverable for us, not a favour at the end of the job.
Against the agreed schedule of rates, with the reason for the variation and its programme impact stated in writing before the work proceeds. Our submissions identify assumptions and provisional sums up front specifically so that variations stay rare and defensible.
